Our Club is proud to sponsor the Rotary Community Corps (RCC) of Ark Fitness!  Our RCC was founded on October 1, 2026, and chartered by Rotary International on October 15, 2026!  It has the distinction of being the first Rotary Community Corps in District 7390!

What is a Rotary Community Corps?  It is a group of non-Rotarians focused on community service. A Rotary Community Corps functions independently with its own leadership, constitution and bylaws but is fully supported by the Rotary Club that sponsors it.  In this capacity our club will be invited into service by the RCC and likewise The Rotary Club of Mechanicsburg-North (RCMN) will invite the members of the RCC into our service activities and club events.  Although a Rotary Community Corps may charge annual dues to its members this one does not.

What prompted the name of Rotary Community Corps of Ark Fitness? Noah Snyder, founder of Ark Fitness, a fitness center in Mechanicsburg, PA, already created the Ark Fitness Community Alliance in 2025 comprised of local residents focused on serving the needs of their neighbors. When he presented the history of his fitness center and the work of the Alliance at our club meeting as an invited guest, our first thought was PARTNERSHIP!!  As we collaborated with Noah on the potential for magnifying the impact of the Alliance by rebranding it to an RCC, all of us quickly realized it was a win-win arrangement focused on the strategic priorities of Rotary International:

Increasing our Impact:  Inviting more community members into service with both the RCC and RCMN will increase our impact and provide an additional way of building fruitful relationships.

Expanding our Reach:  We now have a way to reach out in a bigger way to those not interested in membership in our club but very interested in joining us in service without a membership committment.

Enhancing Participant Engagement:  Our partnership with Ark Fitness RCC will now provide more opportunities for club members to use their talents in new and varied ways, enhancing attraction and retention of members while also making our club and Rotary more visible. This could provide a vehicle for increasing our membership.

Increasing our Ability to Adapt:  Sponsoring this RCC is a way for our club to remain flexible with how the community best wants to join us in service.
